HydraFacial MD Skin Care Treatment Fort Myers FL

What is HydraFacial MD?

Facials with forced exfoliation, deep cleansing and pore clearing can leave your face red and sensitive for a day or two. But at Azul Cosmetic Surgery and Medical Spa, you can now have all of the benefits of an aggressive facial, without any of the discomfort, redness, or irritation.

It’s called the HydraFacial MD.

The Hydrafacial Procedure

The HydraFacial MD is hydradermabrasion. We know — that’s a big word you’ve never heard. Basically, this is a combination of deep cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration, and anti-oxidant delivery simultaneously in a patented four-step process called the HydraFacial MD. This awesome procedure delivers amazing improvements in your skin, all in a relaxing half hour. The HydraFacial MD is a key part of our comprehensive approach to skin care at our Fort Myers, Naples, and Bonita Springs locations.

Benefits of a HydraFacial

The HydraFacial MD improves your skin as it resurfaces it through cleansing, exfoliation, and extraction. But once those steps are accomplished, the newly revealed skin is bathed with serums of hyaluronic acid, peptides, and antioxidants. It delivers the results of an aggressive facial, microdermabrasion, or a chemical peel without any of the irritated, red skin afterward.

WHAT OUR PATIENTS SAY
“Dr. Flaharty and staff is very informative with a great bedside matter! He makes you feel comfortable during the injections and you can see that the staff cares about you and make you feel relaxed.”

Am I an ideal candidate for HydraFacial MD?

People with certain skin tones need to be careful with many skin treatments, such as laser resurfacing and chemical peels, as they can cause hyperpigmentation. But the HydraFacial MD is suitable for all skin types, including thinning, aging skin and dry or oily skin. Even if you have sensitive skin that erupts after a typical facial extraction session, it won’t overreact to a HydraFacial MD. Plus, once the exfoliation and extraction are complete, HydraFacial MD delivers different serums into your skin that target your specific skin type and specific skin problems. A better question here would be “Who wouldn’t be a good candidate, and who wouldn’t love to have a HydraFacial?”

These are skincare problems we target at Azul with HydraFacial MD:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Elasticity and firmness
  • Uneven Tone
  • Brown spots
  • Oily, congested skin
  • Enlarged Pores

HydraFacial Treatment Options

At Azul Plastic Surgery and Medical Spa, we’re thrilled to offer the unique, patented technology and process of the HydraFacial MD. This is a four-step process that cleanses, evenly exfoliates, and extracts impurities and dead skin cells while at the same time replenishing vital nutrients including antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid. Prior to your treatment, we often prep the skin with dermaplaning.

The HydraFacial MD is delivered through a proprietary wand that combines a gentle rotating brush with suction pressure. This wand gently performs the functions of the crystals sprayed on with microdermabrasion or manually applied chemicals in a peel. HydraFacial MD gently vacuums out your pores, while pushing in skin-improving serums.

This is what happens in your 30-minute HydraFacial at Azul:
  • Step 1 — Vortex-Exfoliation
We attach the first head that uses Activ-4 serum and suction to remove surface dead skin cells and open and clear pores. This uncovers the brighter, healthier skin beneath.
  • Step 2 — Vortex-Peel
In step two, through the wand, we apply Glysal serum or one of our Azul Peel solutions, which contain varying amounts of glycolic and salicylic acids. But this peel won’t have the usual post-peel scaling.
  • Step 3 — Vortex-Extraction
In step three, the wand applies patented, painless vortex-suction that cleans out pores with the help of Beta-HD serum.
  • Step 4 — Vortex-Fusion
Now that your skin is thoroughly cleaned and exfoliated, in step four we apply an antioxidant serum through the wand. This serum application is the final step of the HydraFacial MD and it replenishes your skin with antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid.

WHAT OUR PATIENTS SAY
“Love Dr. Flaharty and his wonderful staff! I felt comfortable knowing I was in the best hands possible! A true expert in his field! I wouldn’t dare go anywhere else. Thank you for making me feel so comfortable.” ~ Ginny A.

“Azul Cosmetic Surgery and Medical Spa continues to impress me with all the latest technology for maintaining a youthful look. I feel young on the inside and want my face to reflect the same.” ~ Judy W.

HydraFacial MD vs. Microdermabrasion

Both procedures aim to remove the dull surface skin, various impurities, oil buildup, and clogged pores of our facial skin. But that’s where microdermabrasion ends. Yes, we apply skin calming serums after our microdermabrasion treatments, but they aren’t infused during the procedure as with the HydraFacial MD. That’s the beauty of the HydraFacial MD procedure — it hydrates the skin while cleaning and gently peeling, and then it infuses skin boosting serums once the skin is clear and available to receive these boosters. Microdermabrasion can leave the skin red as if the patient has a mild sunburn. This passes usually overnight, but there is a period of mild redness and a feeling of tightness on the overall facial skin. You’ll feel none of that with the HydraFacial MD.

WATCH ANIMATION ABOUT HYDRAFACIAL

Is HydraFacial painful & is there any downtime?

Extractions with aggressive facials are anything but relaxing; thinking of them now may bring to mind many other descriptive terms. Plus, those extractions often leave the skin red and sensitive for a day or so. Other exfoliation procedures can leave the skin dry and sensitive.

With HydraFacial MD, there is none of that. The procedure is relaxing and painless. Thanks to the hydration that is a continuous part of the process, there isn’t any recovery time. The HydraFacial is completely non-invasive.

How many HydraFacial treatments will I need?

As you would expect, the duration of your skin improvement is variable by your skin type, etc. Regardless, your clearer pores, improved hydration, and the effects from your anti-oxidant serums endure. You’ll see visible improvement in your skin after just a single HydraFacial MD treatment, but to continue keeping your skin looking its best, we recommend monthly HydraFacials.

HydraFacial MD Results

The HydraFacial MD delivers vastly improved hydration while helping to eliminate or lessen the appearance of fine lines, hyperpigmentation, oil and congestion, and even creases in the nasolabial folds. Despite involving a light chemical peel and pore extraction, the procedure is painless — it actually is a pleasant spa-like experience — and doesn’t have the usual redness and irritation that follows most peels/exfoliations.
