FaceTite

What Is FaceTite?FaceTite Fort Myers FL

FaceTite is a device used to tighten the skin of the face and neck. In the hands of a talented cosmetic surgeon like Dr. Patrick Flaharty, it restores a youthful shape to the neck, jawline, around the eyes, and above the brows. FaceTite uses bi-polar radio-frequency to optimally heat and tighten delicate skin tissue. Depending on skin laxity and tissue condition, studies have demonstrated up to 36% skin tightening.

“The mean skin surface area reduction was 25.8% in regions treated with radiofrequency plus SAL at 6 weeks and increased to 36.4% at 1 year.”1

As one of the few surgeons offering this new technology, Dr. Flaharty has invested in FaceTite, AccuTite, and Morpheus – all of which are used to achieve skin tightening at unprecedented levels.

Who Is A Candidate For FaceTite?

Almost all patients with mild to significant skin laxity, or sagging, can benefit from FaceTite. For those with only mild-to-moderate laxity, FaceTite may be used alone or suggested with liposuction of the jowls, under the chin, or neck.

For those with moderate-to-significant laxity, FaceTite may be performed as part of more significant cosmetic surgery. For example, FaceTite is often used in areas that are difficult to reach, or difficult to sufficiently tighten during traditional Face and Neck Lift surgery. Areas like the skin just beneath the chin or along the front of the neck are often difficult to sufficiently tighten surgically without creating a less-than-natural profile. With FaceTite, those areas can now benefit from a very natural looking firmer, tighter appearance.

Typical areas for FaceTite are the sagging skin just under the chin (anterior neck), along the jawline, around the eyes, and above the brows.

Why Use FaceTite?

During traditional Face and Neck Lift surgery tissues under the skin (i.e., muscular layer) are tightened while allowing the skin to re-drape without pulling or stress. With FaceTite the skin itself is also tightened, not just the underlying tissues.

Recovery After Skin Tightening With FaceTite

FaceTite alone requires no stitches as access points for the device are made using #19 or #21 gauge needle. Patients go home from the procedure with a neck and head wrap that we remove the next day at the post-op visit. We then gently place a chin strap which is worn for three days. Patients may experience some redness, soreness and bruising for 1-2 weeks, but can return to most normal activities.
