Our Top 4 Wrinkle-Busting Treatments To Look Younger Now!

This little joke was on the internet;  if only getting rid of wrinkles could be this easy! Picture1

Thanks to the many esthetic tools we have at our fingertips here at Azul, though, getting rid of wrinkles can be almost as easy – and fortunately, you don’t have to take a tumble with the sheets!

Below are some of our staff’s favorite wrinkle-busting treatments (and they’re popular with patients, too). All of these procedures are non-surgical and have very little to no downtime.

Chemical Peels

Having regular chemical peels is one of our firm favorites when it comes to minimizing wrinkles and improving the overall texture of the skin. Having a chemical peel might sound a bit intimidating, but the reality is there’s nothing to worry about. Chemical peels work in much the same way as exfoliation, but at a deeper level, revealing the healthier, smoother texture of skin underneath. Since this layer of skin hasn’t been put through the same “wear and tear” as the uppermost level that is removed, a chemical peel can help rid you of age spots, acne scars and small wrinkles in the skin.

There are many different kinds of chemical peels available, depending on the strength you want and your skin type, and our Azul estheticians will perfectly match one to your skin’s specific needs. Regular chemical peels can be very helpful as a maintenance technique, keeping your skin healthy and youthful looking while preventing wrinkles from deepening.

Ultherapy is a cutting-edge, non-surgical treatment that can basically be summed up as a non-surgical facelift using ultrasound technology. Many people are not ready to have a facelift (which is still the gold standard in facial rejuvenation due to the amount of lift given and how long results last), and Ultherapy can be a good alternative to achieve a noticeable “lift” in the neck and lower face area.  It’s a procedure you have once and you’re done – a course of multiple treatments is not needed – although many of our patients schedule an Ultherapy treatment every year to maintain results. Another bonus is that there is no downtime associated with the procedure.

Infini Skin Tightening

For a slightly more aggressive skin tightening, wrinkle-busting procedure, you may want to consider having Infini with us. This treatment is incredibly versatile. It tightens the skin, fixes uneven texture, adds volume to the face and minimizes wrinkles and acne scars. Infini utilizes a combination of two effective skin tightening methods: radio frequency and microneedling. We’re always amazed at the results that we get from using Infini, and I’m not the only one! Dr. Flaharty, as you probably know, is very discerning about deciding which anti-aging technologies to offer our patients, so when he gets really excited – we all do, too!

Botox and Fillers – The Azul Patient Staples

In January we were thrilled to welcome back Britten, one of our Azul Master Injectors, from her maternity leave. Britten has worked closely with Dr. Flaharty as his Master Injector and we’re now proud to have a small team of Azul Certified Master Injectors to provide our patients with Botox and dermal fillers – two of the most popular cosmetic procedures used today (and the most popular at Azul).

Do you know what the difference is between Botox and fillers? Here’s a quick rundown. Botox works to prevent wrinkles by injecting a minuscule amount of a neurotoxin into the tiny facial muscles we use when we smile or frown. This “disables” the muscles, and when done under the expertise of our injectors, the result is natural looking and the wrinkles treated disappear within days.  Dermal fillers on the other hand, work differently. They work as a volumizer – adding volume to contour the face and soften deep lines on your face.

While neither Botox nor dermal fillers are permanent wrinkle solutions (you’ll need to come back in for regular treatments), they will dramatically reduce your wrinkles, with little to no time commitment or recovery period necessary.

Every one of these procedures can reduce your wrinkles, they all just do it in a different way. They’re also very complementary procedures with one another. For example, the results of Infini can be greatly enhanced with a Botox treatment, or you could follow up an Ultherapy session with a chemical peel.

So there you have it. Our four favorite, non-surgical, wrinkle-busting treatments – try one, or try them all!
