Fast and gentle with the Palomar Pulsed Light System
The Palomar Pulsed Light System is a fast, permanent and comfortable alternative to shaving, waxing and electrolysis for hair removal. It works by emitting pulses of light at the hair follicles. The light is absorbed by the pigment in the follicles and is converted to heat. The heat loosens the hairs and disables the cells responsible for growing new hair.
The treatments work on almost any area of the body where a hair-free appearance is desired. In women, the most common areas for treatment are upper lip, chin, bikini line, legs and underarms. In men, the most common areas for treatment are shoulders and backs. The Palomar works on a wide range of skin types and hair colors.
How many treatments are required?
The number of treatments required for optimal long-term benefits depends on the area of treatment, the hair density and the hair growth cycle.
