What Will Recovery Be Like?
Patients receive a firm face wrap the night of surgery and are asked to rest to reduce the risk of swelling and bruising. As with any surgical procedure there is significant variation in the amount of swelling and bruising between patients. There can be tightness and soreness around the ears and in the lower face and neck. An elastic support dressing is worn around the lower face and neck for three to five days and most patients are free to socialize after the first week. Strenuous activity is restricted for two weeks.
